Team Pic The Pittsburgh Franklins are a group of tightly knit base ball enthusiasts brought together by our national pastime. They play a game referred to as vintage base ball, (originally wrote as two words “base ball”) following the rules that were commonly used during the 1860’s, a time period of time when the game first became consistently ruled and played, but shortly before the game became a profession. The players were competitive, the competition was fierce, but honor prevented ones aggressive side from becoming his disgraced name. The times one may not want to relive, but the game of baseball in the 1860’s surely deserves another look.
